Director/Writer Brian Jun, and producer Max Velez in Attendance!
When he’s released on parole, Nick Burke (LOST’S Mark Pellegrino) finds that his wife has barred him from seeing their daughter. He strikes up a relationship with a lonely stripper (Alicia Witt from FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS & 88 MINUTES) to fill the void in his life, but compromises even that small happiness when he kills a man who attacks her. Desperate to turn his life around but forced back into the law’s crosshairs, Nick discovers the real cost of trying to change one’s own nature.
The third feature from writer-director Brian Jun, JOINT BODY returns to the themes of crime, guilt and redemption he explored in STEEL CITY (2006) and THE COVERUP (2008). Both those films demonstrated a keen interest in – and attention to detail for – the loved ones of criminals, something which resurfaces in JOINT BODY. Though still early in his career, Jun is already establishing himself as an acute observer of the unpredictable ripples both crime and punishment send through our lives.
