Posted on January 7, 2015

The Academy Award® nominated documentary LAST DAYS IN VIETNAM is the February Doc Soup selection.

The February screening, presented by the Calgary International Film Festival and Hot Docs, will take place on Wednesday February 4, 7 p.m. at Cineplex Eau Claire.

This captivating documentary highlights the chaotic final days of the Vietnam War. A small number of American diplomats and military operatives are faced with ethical decisions as the United States prepares to quickly withdraw all troops from the country. With the clock ticking, a number of Americans take matters into their own hands and engage in unsanctioned operations in a desperate effort to save the lives of their South Vietnamese allies, co-workers and friends.

LAST DAYS IN VIETNAM director and producer, Rory Kennedy, is an American documentary filmmaker and the youngest of the 11 children of U.S. Senator Robert Francis "Bobby" Kennedy.
