Doc Soup Calgary Presents – JIM: THE JAMES FOLEY STORY

Posted on March 2, 2016

Sundance 2016 Audience Award Winner JIM: THE JAMES FOLEY STORY is the sixth and final selection of the 2015-16 Doc Soup season.

Presented by Hot Docs and the Calgary International Film Festival, the screening will take place on Wednesday, April 6 at Cineplex Eau Claire at 7 p.m.

JIM is an examination of the life of American photojournalist James “Jim” Foley, who was kidnapped in Syria, two years before the infamous video of his public execution introduced much of the world to ISIS.

Directed by close childhood friend Brian Oakes, the documentary tells the story of Jim’s life through intimate interviews with his family, friends and fellow journalists.

A powerful chronicle of bravery, compassion and pain at the dawn of America’s war with ISIS.

Individual tickets for JIM: THE JAMES FOLEY STORY are now available.
