Doc Soup January: ZERO DAYS

Posted on December 7, 2016

The Calgary International Film Festival and the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival are pleased to announce the third film in the 2016-17 Doc Soup Series. ZERO DAYS is the Oscar®-shortlisted documentary thriller by Alex Gibney about warfare in the world of cyberwar.

Join us at Globe Cinema on Wednesday, January 4 at 7 p.m. as we continue our season of the most anticipated and acclaimed documentaries.

ZERO DAYS tells the story of Stuxnet, self-replicating computer malware that the U.S. and Israel unleashed to destroy a key part of an Iranian nuclear facility, and which ultimately spread beyond its intended target. Through accounts from high echelon players in the U.S. and Israeli secret services, journalists, analysts, and whistleblowers, ZERO DAYS uncovers new information about the operations and U.S. cyber-weapons program. From the acclaimed documentarian behind THE ARMSTRONG LIE and GOING CLEAR: SCIENTOLOGY AND THE PRISON OF BELIEF, ZERO DAYS is a cautionary tale of technology, power, unintended consequences, morality, and the dangers of secrecy.

Tickets for ZERO DAYS ($15, $13 for students and seniors) are now on sale.
