Greetings from the CIFF ’08 Team!

At the Calgary International Film Festival, we pride ourselves on having a team of highly dedicated, personable and engaged volunteers. We are grateful that with the help of many film-loving locals, we are able to provide an annual world-class cinema event for Calgarians.

We require year round volunteers in the following areas: office administration, research, bingos.

We currently have openings for the following positions - please select only one on your volunteer profile.

• Administration
  Year-round office help, including film festival research, film library maintenance, data entry and clerical duties. Weekday daytime availability is an asset.
• Special Events/Gala Team
  Planning, organizing, hosting and serving at various CIFF events, including the volunteer parties and Festival Galas.
• Festival Bike Courier
  Transport packages between the CIFF offices and venues during the Festival. Bicycle is required.
• Theatre Attendants
  The majority of our volunteers will work as theatre attendants, providing crowd control, counting tickets, ushering guests and supporting the existing staff at the venues.
• Artist Liaison/Transportation
  Providing excellent service to any visiting celebrities, helping to maintain the hospitality suites at local hotels. Ensuring that visiting guests of the festival arrive at their various destinations in a timely manner
• Box Office
  Selling tickets and passes in the CIFF office. Cash handling experience is an asset.
• Marketing Crew
  Poster-hanging, delivering programs, and reaching cultural communities in the city.
• Survey Team
  Administering surveys to Festival patrons to learn more about who comes and why.
• Team Leaders (for all of the above)
  Experienced volunteers; can coordinate and schedule a team of 5-15 people and direct their activities to ensure smooth operations.

All new applicants must attach a resume.

As a volunteer with the Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF), you must commit to a minimum of 15 hours, attend a CIFF Meet and Greet (for new volunteers) and attend the mandatory training session specific to your position.
