In his latest offering, Vic + Flo Saw a Bear, prolific director Denis Côté (Bestiaire) introduces us to Victoria (Pierrette Robitaille). In her mid-sixties and recently released from prison, Vic resettles deep in the Quebec woods, residing in a sugar shack with her former cellmate and lover, Flo (Romane Bohringer). With the help of her sympathetic parole officer, played by Marc-André Grondin (Goon, C.R.A.Z.Y.), she sets about on a long journey back to normalcy.

Freedom comes with a price, and both women must face the ghosts of their past in order to move forward. A grown up love story, Vic + Flo Saw a Bear won the Alfred Bauer Silver Bear award at the 2013 Berlinale. Leading ladies Robitaille and Bohringer weave a tale of love, connection, reintegration, and separation with the four walls of a Quebec sugar shack.
